This LEED certified architectural studio is a unique working environment designed to encourage collaboration and critique. Meeting spaces - large and small, casual and more formal - are distributed liberally throughout the space to encourage both scheduled and impromptu collaboration and conference. The main path of travel acts as a gallery enabling visitors to experience the design process as well as showcasing projects both built and On-the-Boards. Interior pathways are lined with multi-media displays and tackable surfaces that encourage display of project materials and walk-by critique, while separating public and private employee space. The office is organized so that all work stations benefit from outside light and make the most of the view of Tempe Town Lake. The use of environmentally friendly woods and alternate surfaces like Kirei board bring warmth and color to the bright, industrial aesthetic.
