Fountainhead Office Plaza

Fountainhead Office Plaza is a corporate office campus consisting of two multi-story office buildings, one six stories in height, the other ten stories in height. A six level above-grade parking structure of 1,900 cars serves the campus. The decision to provide office buildings of differing heights not only made for a more visually interesting project, but significantly reduced construction costs by keeping one of the buildings below the high-rise fire code requirements based on height.

The site is planned around an existing lake that serves the landscape irrigation needs of the project, and a new ‘boulder stream’ water feature flows into the lake. The lake and other sustainable building design and functional features led to LEED Gold certification.

Precast concrete is used extensively throughout the development. The office buildings’ exterior envelopes are comprised of a combination of glass and metal curtain wall with integrally colored architectural precast concrete spandrel panels. The glazing and concrete panels are stitched together using metal detailing that give the buildings a clean, contemporary, ‘corporate’ design character. The parking structure compliments the office buildings with an exterior skin of integrally colored architectural precast panels detailed with a sandblasted finish.
