Vi at Grayhawk
Vi at Grayhawk is a Continuing Care Retirement Community that features 260 independent living villas and apartments, assisted living and skilled nursing services, as well as a small healthcare center providing on-going care.
The 500,000 sf project features a dining terrace, water features, 18-hole championship putting course by Gary Panks, croquet court, sculpture garden, interior loop walking path, large gathering areas, pool, intimate seating areas, ramadas and a courtyard sensory garden.
The buildings were arranged to take advantage of the site’s natural topography. A contemporary southwest aesthetic characterizes Vi at Grayhawk, providing a resort ambiance for its residents. The generous open interiors converge on a central lounge area, providing the setting for spontaneous interaction and serving as a primary gathering space. Abundant indoor activity and amenities areas are key to the success of the project, and include restaurants and a café, a library, business center, multipurpose and games rooms, a fitness center, salon and craft rooms. Shade trees line the streets and provide for a residential neighborhood setting. The main lodge takes advantage of its sloping site and offers beautiful southwestern vistas.
Vi at Grayhawk has proven its worth to the residents. The reputation is that of a five-star hotel and the residents feel that they are living that lifestyle all the time. “It is a joy,” says resident Patsy Davidson, “to have virtually everything you need at your fingertips.” Those who live at Vi benefit greatly from the focus on health, wellness and gracious living and the full complement of activities on offer every day. Perhaps most important, above all else, is the social interaction – the ability to engage with other residents. “The beautiful aesthetic - the bricks and mortar - attracts people in the first instance, but the true heart and spirit of the place is the people who make you feel at home.”
